TS (Thin skin) There are many versions of this material and can
be mixed with other materials.
Lace vs STS (Super Thin skin) front
If you want to comb straight (flat) back and show
100% of your hairline or/and prefer very light hair density you had
better choose a Swiss lace front. Otherwise Super Thin skin is a good
compromise. It's easier to handle: if you use glue it's much easier to
clean. And you are feeling very safe when it's hot, humid and windy.
You can use a "special" tape, strong grip to the skin, softer to the
base. But it's better to use glue in the front. Then it's hard to see
and feel the edge.
Lace vs TS base
TS base is hotter than a lace-base. Yes, you can
make it "breathable" with tiny holes. But what about a
humid, hot day ...? You will feel the difference! It's look
great with injected hair, but so does also Swiss lace base (with
bleached knots). And it's much cooler. And hair with knots lasts
longer than injected hair.
A "natural" system:
Swiss/French lace base with Swiss lace front.
STS patches, back,
sides.
A compromise system:
Swiss/French lace base. Hair injected STS front and
perimeter.
A strong system:
Fine welded mono base, polycoated PU perimeter
(flesh color) and STS front, medium light hair density.
Don't go for too thick hair! Too tight hair will give you a "wiggy" look. It
looks very convincing by showing some hairline and scalp. Of course
it's impossible to tell exactly the amount of hair you need. Even
an old guy with own thick hair can have more dens hair than
a young guy with very thin hair!
Lace pieces: 50-90% (100%=medium)- free style / Lace
pieces: 50- 70% - straight backwards.
STS/UTS (front)pieces: 50-90%
If you want to comb straight back, choose Swiss
lace front. System with some PU/TS-patches is a good compromise; easier
to handle.
If you are old, choose more light colors, specially if you eyebrows
are gray/white. Black hair should look ridiculous. If your own hair
has about 50% gray, choose at least some gray in your hair replacement.
But of course - if your eyebrows are dark, you can dye your own
hair and choose a darker color. So look also at your eyebrows!
Choose human hair! Superior quality and feeling! And natural
appearance, even in direct sunshine.
The
processed Indian hair is a little bit thinner than the remi hair.
It is also possible to
choose extra fine Indian hair. Chinese remi hair is the thickest hair
you can get and most straight. Good for the Japanese, for example.
Also Indian Remi hair, thick, can be ok for the Asian people. But
Indian hair can't be as straight as the Chinese hair.
If you are not sure how much grey hair you like
choose human grey hair. It's possible to dye it if your grey is too much. Sometimes it's not easy to choose
the right amount.
Don't place your piece too far down in your forehead. Or
you will become a werewolf!
Use a mild shampoo (about pH 5) when you wash the hair.
Don't wash your hair in hot water, cold is better.
And wash it gently. If you take it off, put the hair with the underneath
up in a basin (or something like that) with quite cold
water/shampoo. Wash it in the same way.
Don't use balsam/conditioner that contains for
example Lanolin. The hair can fall out from the knots.
Use leave-on spray conditioner.
Avoid to brush the hair when it's wet. If you
must, use a wide tooth comb first.
Don't style your hair too much. Don't make it too perfect! Your
fingers are your best comb - and friend! Look at other people! Do
they look perfect? If you see a guy with perfect hairstyle you
might think that he as a piece.
It's possible to cut your piece (and save money)
- if you choose light density
and just let the hair hang down over your own. Otherwise you need
some skill.
Relax! If you are happy with your new look it
is good enough!
